All of that happened because of that stupid damn f***er. It would have been a normal race if he wasn't there.

Well, if it hadn't been for him, this could well have been one of the all-time classic races...

And Oxford were just so unlucky afterwards - they broke an oar in a clash just after the restart and the umpire decided that this clash was their fault, effectively handing Cambridge the win, and then one of their crew members collapsed just after the finish and had to be taken to hospital...
