Trying this variation again. Both player and Banker have three twists they can use from a selection of six:

PLAYER TWISTS
Red Up - the lowest red is multiplied by 10. Can only be played if at least three reds are on the board.
Paint It Orange - two random blues are replaced with amounts between £1,000 and £5,000.
Extra Offer - what you think; the player must declare when they wish the extra offer to be made. It will not come with an accompanying shift.
Promise Me - the Banker must guarantee what the minimum two-box offer will be for keeping the highest red in play at the time this twist is played.
Stabilise - the second- and third-highest amounts on the board become the mean of each other (e.g. on a board where the three highest amounts are £3,000, £50,000 and £100,000, both £3,000 and £50,000 become £26,500).
Guaranteed Upshift - playing this guarantees that the next shift is upwards (if it would otherwise have been downwards, it becomes a small upshift). It cannot be used for the Seventh Shift.

BANKER TWISTS
Red Down - the lowest two reds are divided by 10. Can only be played if at least three reds are on the board.
Deflation - every amount on the board is reduced by 1% (to the nearest 1p).
Remove Offer - the Banker must declare which offer will not be made; the two-box offer cannot be removed.
Negativity - a random blue is changed to a random negative amount, up to -£50.
Nom Nom Nom - the two highest blues on the board are changed to food products (worth a minimum of 0.5% of their prior cash value).
Guaranteed Downshift - playing this guarantees that the next shift is downwards (if it would otherwise have been upwards, it becomes a small downshift). It cannot be used for the Seventh Shift.

The tricks can be used before and after each shift (except before the first), and after each box from 11-box onwards. Whenever one party (Banker or player) uses a trick, the other can reply immediately; the game only continues when both have agreed not to use any more tricks, so if the player decides not to reply to a Banker twist, the Banker can then add another, or indeed vice versa.

Standard rules apply beyond that, I haven't got Lewis' latest sheet (in fact, I'm using my own sheet from 2011!) so can't implement the 25 bonus squares. But here comes the first shift nonetheless...

£5,000 shifts to £7,000. Well, that doesn't hurt.

2 - £10! Nice start...
4 - £100! That is also a medium downshift out of the way!
6 - £75,000! Big hit, that's one of the huge upshifts gone.
8 - 50p! That's one big shift the other way gone!
10 - £7,000 - gone before you even knew it was there.

Fancy a twist?

It's a good board, and a decent offer, but there's more upshifts in the old bean yet. No Deal.

12 14 16, please.

12 - £250. That'll do.
14 - £10,000. You can do worse than that...
16 - £3,000. Solid round.

Banker is going to use Red Down now, turning £1,000 into £100 and £4,000 into £400. Fancy a twist yourself before the shift?

With having more Blues than Reds at this point, I think I'll play my guaranteed upshift.

That's a twist used apiece. No more twists from the Banker, any more from you?

Here's the shift, then - £15,000 would have shifted down but is now £17,750 with the small upshift.

Using a twist now?

I'd like my fifth power five back, so I'll Red Up. I believe that turns my £17,750 into £177,500?

You are correct! I thought you'd use that before the shift, or failing that may have been saving it for later, but that's a great use of the twist that does indeed turn £17,750 into £177,500!

(I've just realised I haven't assigned you a box, but I have now - number 9.)

18 - £500! Very nice.
20 - £20,000. That could be worse...
22 - £50,000! Back down to four Power 5 values, but three huge upshifts still remaining...

...Banker is going to make this shift all the riskier by playing Nom Nom Nom to turn £400 into 4x35g Nákd cashew cookie worth £2.79, and £750 into 325g Waitrose breaded chicken fillets worth £3.79.

Any twist from you?

With the distribution of the blues, that's hardly a surprise. That's your last twist, and here's what it does...

£50 and £100 change respectively into £2,000 and £1,111.

Shift time... £177,500 is shifting... this is pivotal...

...£700,000 is on the board!!

1p
10p
£1
Nákd bars
Chicken fillets

£1,111
£2,000
£35,000
£100,000
£250,000
£700,000

1 BANKER TWIST REMAINING
Deflation | Remove Offer | Negativity | Guaranteed Downshift

The Banker has one thing to cling to, and that is a potentially devastating twist - he can either force you on three more boxes or lock in a downshift that could be hugely damaging.

However...

BANKER'S OFFER

£35,000 + large stuffed fox
