Another day, another game, and bigger decisions than the real show, today anyway...

2 - £5!
3 - £75,000! Serious reality check, there...
5 - £750. That'll do nicely.
7 - £50,000! That won't...
11 - £100,000!

An extraordinary board - already a one-box game, and that one box could go...

...it doesn't, it's £5,000 that goes, and we do not want to see this shift into blue territory...

...and it doesn't, it's now £16,000!

Already every box is of real importance...

13 - £500! There's one blue...
15 - £1! There's another...
17 - £1,000, and no real harm done there either!

Shift time... and goodness me, do we ever need to keep that £400,000 intact...

£3,000 goes, so we keep it intact... but it drops, to £101. Still, the board's strengthened, though the colour balance isn't improving...

Difficult offers already.

19 - £15,000, one of the fallback reds, and it doesn't help your shift chances...
4 - £250! That does, a bit, and it's another one survived...
6 - £101! Gone as soon as it arrived!

Now, which new amount shall enter the fray instead?

10p is gone, which is good... and just to add to the drama, 25% comes in! When you hit that, if you hit it - it's worth nothing if you have it in your box and Wakey it - your top prize, whatever it may be then, goes up or down by 25%, making it either £500,000 or £300,000.

Here we go, big round here...

8 - 25%!

Now, which way is your top prize going? Is it going up to half a million?

£300,000. Nope - it goes down. But the important thing is it's still there for now.

10 - £50! And that's another one down! One more to survive...
12 - £20,000. Survival it is!

Only the shift can be costly now before this offer...

...and it isn't! 1p has gone!

In its place is a skiing trip to Whyteleafe. :) Only kidding, it's two weeks in Mexico!

£300,000

That's decent; it'd be generous on a usual gameboard, so the extra £50,000 makes it count I guess...

Alright! It's a Deal!

We'll open 14, 16 and 18 next!

14 - £16,000, which would have hurt the shift, but it's not the one...
16 - 50p! We're in trouble now..
18 - £10,000! So now, to prevent a higher offer, it's probably necessary to hit a mere 8% chance of downshifting the jackpot...

We don't, it's £35,000 shifting... to £80,000!! Yeouch!!

Banker's offer would've been:

£44,000 + first-class train ticket to Upper Warlingham station

1 - Two weeks in Mexico...
9 - £10! Oh crumbs...
20 - £300,000! Thank fiddle-de-dee for that!

£100 versus £80,000, but you would've had the option on the Seventh Shift if you were prepared to risk a crash to an all-blue finish to chase a mega-money ending...

We'll take the shift, then see what the offer would have been...

We shall see indeed...

£100 would have shifted to £32,000!

Banker's offer:

£44,000 + first-class rail ticket to St Pancras + Eurostar to Aime-La Plague for two weeks' skiing holiday

After all that, it was £32,000 in your box, £80,000 in 22. Not that they started that way.
