can someone tell me exactly how to use Microsoft Visual Basic 2005 Express Edition to compile this?

I've stopped adding anything else - the source I released is the latest version, I don't believe I made any changes to 1.7.1. To compile in VB2005 just push F5 to run it in the IDE, or use the Build menu to rebuild the solution (then find the executable in the \bin\Release directory.

Hopefully you'll find the source fairly well documented, let me know if there are any parts you don't understand.
