HURRICANE force winds down my way. 90-110 MPH

and that is true.

Like Tom Hanks and his football on that island in 'Cast Away', it looks like it's just me and the bots here now. But that's alright, we're having a grand old time. Aren't we, Wilson? WILSOOOON?!

A few of us who were once part of the furniture, once stalwarts of the grand and extravagant, exuberant and thriving forum, have receded back into the walls, still faintly visible, still here as poignant, reminding relics of an era gone by; but most of us have vanished, forever immersed in the mists of time.

These winds have also unfortunately lead to five sea deaths and severe snowfall up north. I think its supposed to be calming down anyway!! I'm glad I didn't go to work today!!!

trust me it was more windy than it looked. EVERY SINGLE ONE of our fence panels has, in the last week, been blown over at least 3 times, and the posts - they're made from concrete.

no powercuts here, just the wind.

but bloody hell is that enough!!!

80mph wind - officially recognised hurricane force wind.
90mph - enough to blow down medium-small trees.
100mph - windows, blow doors off hinges, etc.
110mph - big trees and probably enough to blow a ferry off course.
120mph - small buildings.
130 mph - the fastest speed ive ever heard for wind - bigger buildings. :o [plus all the rest]

It's cold, it's wet and it's windy. I'm stuck at school waiting for a 6.30 appointment that may or not show, having been waiting since 5.

To top it all the motorways are closed due to all the lorries blowing over so it'll take me three times as long to get home as it normally does.

I hate the British Weather (and waiting for people)

Meh, I was blown back from college I swear, my umbrella broke within the past week (thanks wind) so I always carry my thick hooded coat incase it rains, of course when I take it, it doesn't rain. Instead it acted as a big sail and I was the boat. The ferries here have stopped running too.

We've had a Power Cut for ages and the power has just come on.

These are just some of the problems caused by the wind:

Our bin fell over and rubbish is all over our driveway.
Some of my papers blew away when I was coming out of work.
A tree fell over in the field near our house.
The fence separating mine and my neighbour's gardens fell down and I can't see how we can fix it.
And I missed DOND.
:( :(

WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW.

SNOW EVERYWHERE. THE MOST SINCE MARCH 2005.

This is incredible. It started at about 3am and it is literally everywhere right now, and we're talking LONDON here. I've been messing about with the digital camera I got for Christmas and taking pictures, like this one:
