This is an ordinary game on a not-so-ordinary board.

£1,000
£1,250
£1,500
£1,750
£2,000
£2,250
£2,500
£2,750
£3,000
£3,500
£4,000

£5,000
FYFFES BANANA BONUS
£7,500
£10,000
£15,000
£20,000
£25,000
£35,000
£59,250
£98,750

£395,000

That Fyffes Banana Bonus is worth £6k from the box or £3k when selected, and in neither case can it go on this Box 23...

ADD HALF
+£5,000
+£2,500

MONEY BACK
75%
HALF

That 23 is also always optional, and the only conditional offers available to the Banker are no-23 ones.

Your box? Box 17. To open now? Five of the other 21. Good luck!

It certainly is, and away we go!

Box 1 - £2,500 helps that further!

Box 5 - £3,000 is another nice one!

Box 11 - £25,000, not so much...

Box 15 - £2,750 is back to blue business! Quite the hole there already...

Box 20 - £3,500 makes it even bigger! Good start!

You can't argue too much with that start. The blues look even weirder now!

The Banker's offer...

BANKER'S OFFER

£11,750

...is the sum of the four blues you took out! Not bad for an opening bid, but of course there's the jackpot and plenty of security... Deal or No Deal?

A 17 box offer with only 6 higher suggests something went right, but do again suggest stability.

I am a latecomer to this though, and I can’t give up yet! No deal.

10,13 and 19 please

And we go on looking for even more money...

Box 10 - £98,750! Oh. Well, that's going to hurt the stability.

Box 13 - £15,000... a blue would be handy now...

Box 19 - £2,250 is just that!

With £98k gone, the question becomes ‘How much am I playing for the jackpot and/or the benefits to it staying there?’

Enough to carry on. No deal.

3,4 and 8 please.

There's an interesting philosophical streak about this game already!

Let's see how this round goes.

Box 3 - FYFFES BANANA BONUS! Well, that's £3,000 in your hand, guaranteed regardless!

Box 4 - £1,500! Is this the game-changing round in your favour?

Box 8 - £395,000!! Erm... it's the game-changing round...

There's still plenty to play for and plenty of freedom to play for it...

£1,000
£1,250
£1,750
£2,000
£4,000

£5,000
£7,500
£10,000
£20,000
£35,000
£59,250

The Banker says that was a huge relief, as he was preparing a third offer in excess of £20,000...

BANKER'S OFFER

£8,750

...but instead, he's gone down. Although only by the £3,000 you claimed with that Fyffes Banana Bonus, so it's technically another £11,750 offer if you think of it that way? Although it'd be the £8,750 you'd put through Box 23 if you wanted to, the £3,000 can't be touched... Deal or No Deal?

And we go on...

Box 2 - £10,000 would be a good ceiling for this round...

Box 7 - £20,000! But it isn't the ceiling...

Box 9 - £7,500 completes a destabilising round...

Two-box game, albeit with no actual blues and £3k locked in...

£1,000
£1,250
£1,750
£2,000
£4,000

£5,000
£35,000
£59,250

...equals this.

BANKER'S OFFER

£8,750

It's another stick, it's yet another chance to leave with £11,750... maybe you take this one! Or maybe you don't... Deal or No Deal?

And there we have it! A bizarre game has produced a Deal for £8,750 to go with that £3,000 bonus.

Now, we play on.

Box 6 - £4,000...

Box 12 - £1,250! The turnaround was on...

Box 14 - £35,000! But that would have changed things yet again...

£1,000
£1,750
£2,000

£5,000
£59,250

The Banker would have given you the opportunity to feel less sticky...

BANKER'S OFFER
WOULD'VE BEEN

£8,750 + MEACO DEHUMIDIFIER

That's worth £179.99 courtesy of John Lewis and was the only change to the offer!

Going in ascending order would have given us...

Box 16 - £59,250! Instant disaster.

Box 18 - £1,000 would have been small consolation...

Box 22 - £2,000 to leave a finish with £1,750 and £5,000...

BANKER'S OFFER
WOULD'VE BEEN

£3,333

Box 17 had £1,750, Box 21 had £5,000, it's a healthy box profit...
