£14,500 and 23 would be my choice here.

I have to agree with Archie here. That board is getting precarious, and I think it may be time to fold.

Deal to £14,500 and Box 23.

The great thing about this setup is that you have the chance to do something in between simply taking a flat offer and going gung-ho. You've taken that chance, and will put £14,500 into Box 23 looking to get a big sum out. You could win anything from £9,570 to £45,820 with that, which is obviously a smaller range than the board presents.

Now, we find out what would have happened if you HAD gone with the gung-ho approach. Three hypothetical boxes are required...

It would have been 7, 11, and 17 next.

Leaving 19 to the end, then.

Box 7... £3,000. Right colour...

Box 11... £150. Two safe boxes out of three...

Box 17... £1. Make that three - the round would have been survived, and obviously the offer would have gone way up with only £2,750 accompanying the £150,000 at this point.

Specifically:

BANKER'S OFFER
WOULD'VE BEEN

£66,500 FIXED

OR

BANKER'S OFFER
WOULD'VE BEEN

£43,500 + 23

Appending the £500 to the end.

Box 15... had the £150,000. Bad luck for not keeping even one more big number with it to 5-box, as that was all it might have taken to draw a gargantuan offer. Or two, as it happens in this format. Box 19 had £2,750.

But you took the £14,500 with an eye on hopefully sending it way up through Box 23. And here is that money menu.

BOX 23 OPTIONS
66% - £9,570
116% - £16,820
166% - £24,070
216% - £31,320
316% - £45,820
+£14,000 - £28,500
ADD CAR - £14,500 + Nissan Leaf

Three of those put you above the fixed offer - four, if you count the Nissan Leaf at its £16,530 value. Three of them leave you below, though in one case it's basically a wash.

Pick a number, 1-7, to determine just what you're winning at the end of this game.

Never mind. That’s the price one must pay for being cautious.

I will choose number 7 for Box 23.

You got as far as 5-box, and got a good sum of money out of it.

How good?

There were 7 items in your list. Here they are in random order:

316% - £45,820
ADD CAR - £14,500 + Nissan Leaf
+£14,000 - £28,500
216% - £31,320
66% - £9,570
116% - £16,820
166% - £24,070

IP: 86.15.173.210
Timestamp: 2017-01-18 23:55:36 UTC

MARK'S FINAL WINNINGS: £24,070
