Aaron's DoND - Season 4: Rules

Each game starts with the standard UK board. At the beginning of each game, the Box 23 roster is as follows:

    DOUBLE
    +£20,000

    MONEY BACK
    HALF
    NOTHING

Then, we have the following features:

THE TWIST
After being randomly assigned a box, you will randomly select one of these six twists that will apply to your game:

  • A TALE OF TWO BOXES: Pick a second box to bring to the table. You receive your final offer at 3-box. If you are still in live play after that offer, you will win the higher of the two boxes. A SWAP offer allows you to swap one of your two boxes for one remaining in the wings.
  • SUPER 6: The largest six amounts are removed from the game, and you get to choose a new Top 6 from a set of 22 boxes, containing amounts ranging from £25,000 to £500,000.
  • TWELVE SHIFT: At the start of the game, three of your board values will decrease in value, and three will increase. Then, before each* of the Banker's usual six calls, one of the remaining amounts will shift in a direction and magnitude determined by your remaining board amounts. Blues owe to downshifts, reds to upshifts. The more extreme the value, the bigger the shift it causes.
  • SPLIT DECISION: The 22 usual board amounts are split between two boards, a blue board and a red board, creating two games that will be played simultaneously. Offers are made at 8-, 5-, and 2-box on each of the boards. Once both games are complete, the winnings from one of the games must be wagered on Box 23, and the other can not. Only one prediction is made on Split Decision, and green boxes will not make an appearance.
  • MY KIND OF DEAL: The twist where you're in control of the game. You can request an offer whenever you like, as often as you like (but at least twice). Also, if you didn't like the boxes you've opened in a particular round, you get the option to replay the round you just had with all the remaining boxes being reshuffled (one-time use only).
  • BETWEEN THE LINES: The board consists of 22 values from 5p up to £375,000 that are all the averages between the consecutive numbers on the standard UK Deal board. Offers are made at 19-, 15-, 12-, 9- and 6-box with your last offer being made at 3-box. If you are still in play at this point, the box on the table is opened and the main game ends.

* A shift at 2-box is optional, but can only be made on a de-facto blue/red finish (one amount below £1k, the other £1k or above). If the player opts for the 2-box shift, then one of the random remaining amounts will either receive a huge downshift or a huge upshift.

THE PREDICTION
You need to make TWO offer predictions in your game. Your first prediction needs to be made at your first offer. Once this prediction is made, the median value on the board and the two values either side of it are removed, and are replaced by three new 'green' values. There are three sets of eight green boxes, eight small boxes (containing amounts from 2p to £200), eight medium boxes (containing amounts from £2,000 to £30,000) and eight large boxes (containing amounts from £40,000 to £250,000). Three boxes are selected and they replace the aforementioned values. The better the prediction, the larger the amounts that are added to the board:
    ≤ 1%: Three large amounts
≤ 5%: Two large and one medium amount
≤ 10%: One large and two medium amounts
≤ 15%: One large, one medium and one small amount
≤ 20%: Two medium and one small amount
≤ 25%: One medium and two small amounts
    > 25%: Three small amounts.

It is then up to you as to when you would like to make your second prediction. There are three types of prediction you can make, and you must state which type of prediction you're making when you lock in your prediction. The three types of prediction are as follows:

THE OFFER BUTTON PREDICTION: Making this prediction gives you the chance to activate the offer button in your game. If your prediction is particularly good, the Banker's button offer will have to be a minimum percentage of the average:
≤ 1%: LIVE Button, Offer = 100% of the average
≤ 5%: LIVE Button, Offer ≥ 75% of the average
≤ 10%: LIVE Button, Offer ≥ 50% of the average
    ≤ 15%: LIVE Button only.
    > 15%: NO Offer Button.
Any Offer Button prediction within 10% is also guaranteed to produce an offer above the Fair Deal. In A Tale of Two Boxes, the average percentages are that of the 'Two Boxes' average, which is weighted on the probability of winning each the remaining amounts on the board.

THE 23 BOOST PREDICTION: Making this prediction can alter your Box 23 setup with the introduction of a new card (if you're within 20%). The better the prediction, the better the card. If you guess within 15%, you get to choose between one of two cards, an addition card or a multiplier:
≤ 1%: Add +£75,000 OR replace HALF with QUADRUPLE
≤ 5%: Add +£35,000 OR replace HALF with TRIPLE
≤ 10%: Add +£20,000 OR replace HALF with DOUBLE
≤ 15%: Add +£10,000 OR replace HALF with ADD HALF
    ≤ 20%: Add +£5,000
    > 20%: No card is added.

THE BONUS BOX PREDICTION: Making this prediction gives you the opportunity to bring the Bonus Box into live play (to be opened after Box 23). The Bonus Box is loaded with six cards: MONEY BACK, +10%, +20%, +30%, +50%, DOUBLE. This prediction determines the minimum amount that is needed to be won from the main game to activate the Bonus Box. The better the prediction, the lower the threshold:
    ≤ 1%: No Threshold (£0)
    ≤ 5%: £20,000
    ≤ 10%: £35,000
    ≤ 15%: £50,000
    ≤ 20%: £75,000
    > 20%: Bonus Box not activated.

Remember, in Aaron's DoND the SWAP is ALWAYS offered at the end of the game.

I presume you mean 8-, 5-, and 2-box for the offer points on Split Decision ;)

(Which I'm really excited to play at some point!)

There have been some more changes!

  • The best of Unlimited Minutes and Re-Replay have been combined to create a new twist called My Kind of Deal
  • If you like strange boards, then I'm sure you'll love Between the Lines. Have a read above to see how it works.
  • There are now eight boxes in each set of green boxes, with one of the eight large green boxes being worth £250,000.
