That even renders not going higher at the opening guess less relevant! What about that?

It's about the average on a regular board, which is probably the territory where Two Boxes offers start getting properly interesting. With the BB locked in and the chance to win a gloriously odd huge sum of money, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't tempted, but the upside is just irresistible here. NO DEAL!

13, 15, and 19...

We're into Power 5 territory now, and another good round is only going to send your 8-box offer flying! Now then...

13 - £10! Yes!

15 - £100,000! A setback... But if this is blue, it doesn't actually carry all that much significance...

19 -
£35,000! Now that's changed things... What a fascinating game! Down but not even close to out!

He's glad to have that breathing space back now, and warns you that this is the start of a downward spiral... So, two offers:

BANKER'S OFFER

£34,444

OR

BANKER'S OFFER

£39,999 & NO BONUS BOX

Still a 25% chance of £250k and not much less than that of £75k, but a 20/56 chance of a blue win...

...I don't feel comfortable with that, but leaving a bunch of EV behind isn't appealing either... nor is not taking a chance at 8-box after I did so at 11-box with a higher offer...

...DEAL £34,444. It's the better offer, and it means I'm not taking the safest option. ;)

11, 7, and 9...

It's a DEAL for £34,444! We could double that with the Bonus Box, at least we hope! Your next three would have been:

11 - £75,000! Good start!

7 - 1p! Nope...

9 - £1! Eek, this would have been a good place to be in...

And your pair of offers would have been:

BANKER'S OFFER
WOULD'VE BEEN

£52,522

OR

BANKER'S OFFER
WOULD'VE BEEN

£63,633 & NO BONUS BOX

And we'd have needed two more boxes...

So nearly... don't know if I could have taken those last two boxes :P

Gotta find it now...

5 - £12,500!

3 - £100! It's still there!! My oh my...

Your pair of offers NOW would have been...

BANKER'S OFFER
WOULD'VE BEEN

£111,111

OR

BANKER'S OFFER
WOULD'VE BEEN

£137,137 & NO BONUS BOX

HOWEVER...

We've had one of these before...

BANKER'S OFFER

BANKER'S ONE BOX GAMBLE

He says if you hand him back £34,381 (meaning you would still have £63), you can continue in live play, but with only one of your two boxes (you get to decide which).

How about that then, KP? Is it the right time for another gamble, or will you be keeping the money?

If the BB requirement was £50k I'd be sorely tempted, and quite likely go for it.

It isn't, so I'm not. NO DEAL. You know what I'd have done hypothetically :)

And the money is still yours! But did one of your two boxes have the biggie?

22 - 50p
17 - £250,000!! The one you chose yourself!!  Box 1 had the £5 (which would have led to standard offers of £63k/£79k-BB if you were wondering!)

Now then, two bits of business...

Box 23, I know, we all forgot about it!

    DOUBLE (£68,888 & BB)
    +£15,000 (£49,444 & BB)

    MONEY BACK (£34,444 & BB)
    HALF (£17,222)
    NOTHING

Or was it just because it wasn't on your mind with the current scenario? Would you like to buy Box 23?

What a surprise that wasn't :P

    Image

And it would have deprived you of the chance to open the Bonus Box, which we're about to do for the first time! :D

    DOUBLE (£68,888)
    ADD HALF (£51,666)
    +30% (£44,777.20)
    +20% (£41,333.80)
    +10% (£37,888.40)
    MONEY BACK (£34,444)

Some cracking cards there David, so let's have a great result here, 1-6!

Some great sums of money, and some wonderfully awkward numbers, too.

Number 3!, please!

Fantastic contest, and to take £51,666 from a game which was essentially always destined to be a big money-saver for the Banker is hard to argue with!
