I would have said to go one more if you're OK with what the blue/£20k/£75k offer will be. He might well offer £26k with how you got there!!

Still, hard to argue with an extra £9k for one more box. ;)

It's a very fair offer. But with the risk of an outright player loss I can't accept it so No Deal.

... Wow! That's an incredibly generous offer turned down, and you just have one last decision to make...

Swap Box 20 for Box 1 or No Swap?

No Swap... Well this is one of, if not THE most memorable game we've had this series... We know we have Box 23 over there but I hope we don't have to rely on it to get you some good money here... 20 in 20, please?

20 - £20,000!! Fantastic!! A huge gamble finally paid off, fantastic! Box 1 had the £750!

BUT, it's not over yet!

... it's time for Box 23!

    DOUBLE (£40,000)
    +£15,000 (£35,000)

    MONEY BACK (£20,000)
    HALF (£10,000)
    NOTHING (£0)

Archie had to rely on this box the other day, other than that nobody has bought it this year!

But for £20,000... Would you like to buy the box, Deal or No Deal?

Great result, one which in all fairness makes up for the disappointment of missing out on the record win!

Proof if any is still needed that you should only let the offer button influence marginal decisions. If an offer would be a cast-iron for you wothout the button, it's already done it's job in boosting the offer and you should take it. Playing "one more box" in that situation opens up the possibility of a big crash with only minimal gain if that box goes in your favor. It's not worth it!

Still, hard to complain with a Power 5 win , though. :D :smt023
