He had the perfect box! We won't know what the valuation would've been, but we're opening #5...

** RING **

Two offers again, one conditional, one unconditional...

BANKER'S OFFER

£34,000

OR...

BANKER'S OFFER

£45,000 & NO BOX 23

You could be on for a HUGE result if not for a conditional offer like that!

So then Stephen, Deal at £34,000... Deal for £45,000 and No Box 23, or No Deal?

I'd take the £45,000 offer here.

34k is just shy of the mean, 45k is a healthy ways above it. Box 23 is EV+, hence the AMO to not take it. If I take 34k, I think it would be with Box 23 in mind, so for 34k it's do I want a sure 45k or an EV 54k or so, with a prospect of dropping down to 17k... As such, I'm definitely not going to go for the first offer...

For the second...

If I go on, there's a two in three chance of a 10k/50k finish, and a 1 in 3 chance of a 50k/50k finish... I don't think I'd see a 45k offer to not take Box 23 in that situation, and goodness knows what the offer to not take box 23 would be for a 50k/50k finish if there is one...

...Deal 45k and no Box 23, I think. But very well pitched offer, that. Not sure if I should have gone on or not.

It's a DEAL for £45,000 without Box 23 - wonderful stuff! We need to see, however, what would have happened! Let's do the proveout...

1 - £50,000! You had a 2/3 chance of doing it! The offer would've been?

BANKER'S OFFER
WOULD'VE BEEN

£28,000

And finally, you always get the opportunity to swap in this game, so would you have swapped Box 9 for Box 3?

I would have done, yes.

And then hit #3 on Box 23 if I was allowed to.

Let's play it out all the way to the end! Taking Box 9 away and instead we bring this to the table...

3 - Offer Box (£50,000)! Oh my word, we could have been on for a truly mega result now with Box 23 in question! As it stands, you've only missed out on an additional £5k! Box 9 had £10,000!

Now for the major part of this proveout...

With £50k, here would've been the outcomes...

QUADRUPLE (£200,000)
DOUBLE (£100,000)
ADD HALF (£75,000)
MONEY BACK (£50,000)

HALF (£25,000)
HALF (£25,000)

It would've been #3. You dealt for £45k earlier, but could you now have been on for a massive £200,000?! Here's the list...

QUADRUPLE (£200,000)
HALF (£25,000)
DOUBLE (£100,000)
ADD HALF (£75,000)
MONEY BACK (£50,000)
HALF (£25,000)

Well oh well! Stephen gave us a brilliant game there and the Banker made a non-Box 23 offer of £45,000 which he accepted! Unfortunately, he could've gotten £100,000 had he played it out to the end! Still a cracking game, thanks very much for playing! :D :smt023

While there was apparently more on the table had I continued (or more on the table had I not overthought my first prediction), I'm happy with that result :)
