Seems I used up all the good luck too early... Well, it's not over yet! Pity I couldn't save a green 'til these reduced-case rounds, but there we go... Actually a good offer just shy of 60% of the average, but just 2 to open so I'll take a chance! NO DEAL!

24 and 25 please. :eyes:

That's pretty much how things work here. The %-of-mean gradually increases the further in you get, it doesn't jump around wildly nearly as much as the more psychological UK version. It's up to you which method you prefer, honestly :P
Two cases, and I think our hunt for blues has become a pressing need once again.

Case 24: $1
Case 25: $5
There we go!

That's a decent recovery! Too bad the monkey's still sitting there, but the good news is we're in one-case-at-a-time territory now. The better news is that the offer has rebounded to:

BANKER'S OFFER

$5,200

That's pretty decent, since thankfully we've still got the $15k and $20k up there. Of course, Andrew, it's up to you whether that's worth risking one more case for. Deal or No Deal?

One-case-to-open does indeed make this tantalising... a really great offer! Hmm... might regret this, but I'll go for another case... NO DEAL...

10, please.

Pushing for another case. Catching the monkey at this point in time would help us a lot...

Case 10:
$5,000

...interesting. It's not a low one, but it's not one of our top two either. What does Walter make of it?

BANKER'S OFFER

$5,900

A small improvement, it would seem. We've still got both the $15k and the $20k, but on the other end of the scale we're looking at 50c should things go really sour. But with things how they are now, are you willing to push one more case? Deal or No Deal?

Hmmm... I figured the banker would go up if I hit the $5,000, unlike in the UK version where it may have been a stick or a slight drop. Torn here, as I was hoping for a slightly bigger increase... but not much more to gain utility-wise as opposed to lose. It's a.... DEAL!

9, 13 and 19 would've been the last choices.

Good decision, Andy, especially as we've yet to see a Chance on this version. :smt023 :eyes:

*deal jingle plays*
There we go, it's a deal!

But... could we have pulled out some more?

Case 9: $1,000
Oh geeze...

BANKER'S OFFER
WOULD'VE BEEN

$7,300

Seems Walter wouldn't have had much choice but to react to the block's continued existence. Four left...

Case 13: $150

BANKER'S OFFER
WOULD'VE BEEN

$10,900

Cases 5 and 19 remain, as well as your own Case 1. The money amounts remaining are the pesky 50c, $15,000, and $20,000. What a situation...

Care to finish the ordering for the proveout?

...and you beat me to it with an edit again! If this is the monkey, we're going to be seriously embarrassed...

Case 19:
$20,000 :)

BANKER'S OFFER
WOULD'VE BEEN

$7,200

Still would have been more than your deal, but it's impressive enough that block lasted as long as it did.

Wow! A very generous near-average offer at 2-box that would've been!

Two cases left: your Case 1, and the other Case 5. One's got a mere half-dollar, the other's got fifteen grand. What did you sell to the banker?

Case 1:
$15,000

Oh no... Well, I guess that's how it goes. In hindsight, you could have dealt almost anywhere else (or even not dealt at all) and made more, but it was an entirely reasonable choice at the time!

Case 5: 50c

But hey, we took a deal five cases ago, so who cares about any of that? Heeeere's the money!

StatsMan wins $5,900

Thankyou for playing Australian Deal or No Deal!

Ah well, no regrets there, only a bit more money in the game ultimately as I'd have DEFINITELY dealt the 2-box offer!

Thanks for hosting, Leah! :smt023

Hehe, I don't really think about the proveout offers that hard. I'm not entirely convinced the actual show didn't inflate them a little :P (upon reassessment, it probably would have been closer to $4,000 in live play...)

Indeed! The UK show often inflated proveout offers in the early days to encourage more aggressive gameplay - not outlandish in your version as you say, the trend is for offers to get gradually more generous rather than psychological! :smt023
