Hoping to follow up on Davao's insane game earlier is KP.

You know the drill, we need 5 numbers between 1 and 22 then 5 numbers between 1 and 10 to determine your starting board.

I'd normally let the Banker make a generosity statement, but I think this is a fairly straightforward situation, as that opening round happens to have left essentially an awesome standard board.

However, I case the Banker defies convention out of the gates, I'm going to make the prediction I can most afford to whiff badly on first.

For the BOX 23 JACKPOT:

PLAYER'S PREDICTION

£12,100

Let's see if that was a wise move:

BANKER'S OFFER

£13,579

It looks like the Banker was making the subtlest reference to the hunger games possible, knowing you'd snap his hand off if he made himself any more obvious.

That's a 10.89% miss, meaning the Box 23 jackpot is £15,000.

That's fair enough, I wasn't even looking for that kind of reference. Note to self: you're 2/2 for doing so at the first offer in this reboot, look for them in future. ;)

Anyway, NO DEAL for now and I think I made a decent move there. 16, 18, and 14 are next on deck.

I think you made the right call there, as:

BANKER'S OFFER

£21,000

Over half the average already, but you still have two predictions to make.

Has the Banker gotten you already? Deal or No Deal?

I was wondering if he might go to £20k, but might have backed out of that if forced into a prediction, perhaps to £18k (which would have been a 15%-bracket miss).

NO DEAL still, as there is some solidity in this position. 20, 21, 22.

Interesting. £510k on the board so the mean is around £46k. He's hinting that he's gone eccentric whilst being in a predictable area, and that combined with the game stage leads me to an OFFER BUTTON prediction.

PLAYER'S PREDICTION

£28,250

Do we have a live button?

BANKER'S OFFER

£27,500

We do indeed, and it will be interesting to see how you use it as you were 2.72% off and are thus guaranteed an offer of 75% of the average when the button is pressed.

My stuff is on fire! Somebody better call the fire department.

Aaron Rodgers would insist on buying time to create a bigger and better opportunity, and in his spirit, NO DEAL. :P

15, 19, 21. No intention of using the button this early.

15- £25,000

Had you pressed the button there, the Banker would've had to offer at least £36,386.36. Did you make a mistake in not pressing the button while you had the chance?

19-
£250,000

YEP! :(

Box 21 has already been opened, so you must either choose another box or you can press the button now if you wish.
