Has anyone seen this at all? It's a television series by HBO about the fictional newsroom of an American cable news company, and it's last ever episode aired in the US on Sunday night.

Personally, I think Season 1 is one of the best things I've seen in my life, and it was all because of this awesome opening scene that I started watching it in the first place. I'm still unsure whether the final ever episode did the show complete justice, however. Would love to hear what others thought of it if anyone's seen it!

I've seen bits and pieces of it over the years. It's compelling television, and it was particularly enjoyable for me because I am a practicing journalist. Specifically, I'm the editor of a magazine and website about the IT industry in Canada.

I have yet to see the final season, but I'm sure I can watch it online. Or perhaps it might be re-ran at some point.

It's interesting to note that The Newsroom is creator Aaron Sorkin's swan song. He has stated that he has no further plans for any other TV shows or movies, going forward.

The third season IMO doesn't really do the preceding Series any better. For me, Season 1 > Season 2 > Season 3, though Season 3 does have some great moments. I guess you have to watch it to wrap it all up.

I'm very tempted to start West Wing after seeing this, have you seen that?
