Interesting...

1 - £15,000. Be very glad I didn't make this a £500,000 game as I planned to...
5 - £50. More like it.
10 - £75,000... oh dear.
15 - £5,000. An early orange. We could use a blue here.
20 - £5. We get one, from the Banker's Power 5 too, and that's a pretty standard-issue start I'd say.

Banker's offer:

£5,500

2 - £10. That's a nice hole in the blues.
4 - 50p... oh this is good now...
6 - £100,000. Oh.

The Banker recognises the pattern of 2, 4 and 6... and reckons it finishes with '8, motorway'... and thinks this offer will make you the first ever second-offer Dealer...

Banker's offer:

CAR, worth £8,000

I assume that's a reference to how I passed my practical driving test on Friday. :P

I don't want a car yet though, so the banker's got it wrong.

Just to confirm though, is it just a car worth £8,000 and nothing else that he's offering?

You are correct, that is the entire offer.

He says consider yourself lucky as he planned a cash offer of £7,200...

3 - £250
14 - £20,000. Rocked the safety net.
17 - £10,000. Three exposed Power 5 amounts is still three Power 5 amounts...

Banker's offer:

£10,000

8 - £1... that's a HUGE blue hole now.
18 - £750... is this the all-blue round?
19 - 1p! IT IS!

Three of the Power 5 at eight-box including the quarter of a million can only mean one thing...

Banker's offer:

£20,000

The Banker says if you keep all three Power 5 amounts the next offer will be £40,000

I've seen the crap he's been offering at 5-box even when the £250k's been in play, and I reckon he'll go low even if I knock out one of the Power 5. I'm going to do something shocking...

DEAL.

The Banker rings up and says that the country's future is in tatters with young men being so cowardly

12 - £500...
13 - £35,000... there's the Power 5 hit you feared would smash the offer apart, but you know what Noel would say here...
16 - £50,000...

The Banker says that at least with cowards like you there won't be a repeat of a bloodbath like the Battle of the Somme!! But he points out that Great Britain still won that war and you've lost the chance of your ultimate glory...

Banker's offer would've been:

£18,000

*beep* the wars, I've just won £20,000 in a climate where banks would probably like to be given £20,000... :P

I'd have bailed out here anyway.

Have things got so bad that DOND's banker has actually now gone under too, hence why he didn't finish this game? ;)

No no sorry, I had to rush off... which was worth it for your response :D

9 - £100...
11 - £250,000! Victory!
21 - £3,000 - more gloss on the result...

a 10p/£1,000 finish...

Banker's offer would've been:

500 shares in HBOS

You had £1,000, with 22 having the 10p...

Haha nice final offer. Where would you (and others) have dealt there then?

I'd have dealt at the 4th offer mainly due to the lack of red backups and the presence of all the blues. You just had to hit £250k or £50k there for the 5-box offer to probably go down to about £10k or even lower...

I did wonder if I'd been a bit extra cautious as I remember saying I'd no deal Harvey's £20k. However I checked Harvey's board and his was considerably stronger than this one at 8-box, and I'd still no deal Harvey's £20k!

Would have been £18k for me - I wouldn't have taken the eight-box offer as it was under half the mean with three higher, which would have made me think that even if it was going to be a forced play-on then I might feel confident in potentially getting a Julie-esque result... but I'd have gone at five-box, that being a somewhat generous offer for the £250k + two oranges final five.
