...this time you have Box 2 and I'm testing out my new (well, based upon an old spreadsheet but it is still new) offer pattern...

1 - £35,000. Ooh, nasty.
18 - £1. Much more like it.
6 - £75,000! Ouch.
16 - £5. Two of each Power 5 so far...
19 - £750. And a blue to finish off!

Banker's offer:

£7,000

8 - £250,000! Already you're down to two of your Power 5.
5 - £5,000... still red...
17 - £10,000. As is that!

The Banker can't believe his luck at the moment and is feeling generous...

Banker's offer:

£6,000

It is a generous offer but it's not enough to make me go just yet...

NO DEAL!

7 - 50p. We needed that one, now down to just two of that Power 5 too...
12 - £1,000. It's orange, it's good...
14 - £3,000. Ditto I suppose.

Seven blues, most of them high, play four reds... all of them significant. The Banker thinks you only turned down the second offer because it was 'not the done thing' to take it! He reckons you have no such qualms about a third-offer deal as people have done that before so you can share the shame! sdgthju

Banker's offer:

£9,000

This is starting to shape up to be an interesting board, and certainly will be if I remove £15k & 2 blues (or £20k) in the next round. It's a good offer again, but... NO DEAL.

15 - £50,000! The Banker will love 15 now... ;)
21 - 1p! He won't love that...
9 - £100! And that's blown a hole in the blue block at last...

The Banker says he would offer you £10,000 but he thinks you'll take less now that it's an acceptable time to deal...

Banker's offer:

£8,500

It's still not enough, silly banker. And why does he love 15? The offer should've been £15k. :P

NO DEAL.

The Banker rings up and says that your mathematical reputation has just been undone!!!

13 - £100,000!!
20 - 10p - no more Power 5s left at either end of the board...
4 - £250 :)

At five-box:
£10
£50

£500

£15,000
£20,000

The Banker thinks you weren't prepared to take any other than the last two offers, so he's going to make an offer after every box and wait for the two reds to go in the next two rounds!!

Banker's offer:

£6,015

Well normally that'd have been a deal... but with one-to-open, it's a NO DEAL...

22 - £15,000!

'Mission accomplished' says the Banker... and he says that even if you now hit two blues, the final offer will be lower than any you have turned down so far!!

Banker's offer:

£3,015

I don't want to go away with a blue... and the offer won't be much more on a blue vs £20k final 2, on which I'd want about £5k / £6k to deal.

So DEAL.

The Banker is laughing because you took an offer far less generous than the one you just turned down, and can't believe his luck...

10 - £20,000!

Banker's offer would've been:

£115

I don't care what the banker says / thinks as I've just avoided winning a blue... had he played it properly he'd have made a low 5-box offer to force me on with no extra offers. :P

Anyway I'd have no dealt here...

And the last 1 to open is:

10.

11 - £10
Banker's offer would've been:

£215

Your box had £500 and Box 3 had £50

I think I would have done exactly the same thing! For the Banker to make that prediction, and then one of the two reds found immediately, I'd have been terrified of the £20,000 being found next!

I'm sure I replied to this asking for box 10. :ponder: I probably clicked the wrong thing as I edited my post... I seem to accidentally click delete sometimes.
