2 - 1p! It doesn't get better than that to start.
8 - £75,000! Oh. Still, no PJ curse to worry about!
10 - 50p! No Dennis fears either.
18 - £35,000! Incredible - two of each Power 5 to start!
22 - £10. Nearly another!

Well that was a topsy-turvy start. The Banker says he expects you to hit two of the remaining top three in the next round... he's also seized upon an earlier comment about PJ...

Banker's offer:

SWAP

He's taking the piss.

If he's so wonderful and knows everything then he'll read this forum and he'll know my answer... so I want him to phone back and tell me the answer.

3 - £50,000!

Banker phones up. '19's got the £250,000.'

5 - 10p! You really are squeezing this board at both ends aren't you?!? Four of the bottom six, three of the Power 5!

Noel calls a break, building up the drama...

19 - £250! Imagine how scary that would have been with the old monochrome labels. :D

The Banker's obviously annoyed...

Banker's offer:

£7,250

I'm not going to do anything to my decision either.

It's a very strange board, but I'm not exiting for a sub-£10k figure at 11-box with £250k in play and oranges as backups.

NO DEAL.

15 - £3,000. Safe.

It's very tempting to no deal but it is a good offer. Can he guarantee what the next offer will be if the £250k is left to 5-box?

All he'll say is that he will guarantee £20,000 for an all-blue round.

I'd look for at least £15k on 4 blues / £250k and as well all know, the £1k may as well be a blue... so it's a DEAL here.

13 - £1,000. Right colour, wrong number...

1 - £250,000! There it is, the perfect game!

9 - £100! As if that weren't enough... the perfect destruction round too!

Banker's offer would've been:

£19.99

You had £50 in box 17, with 11 containing £5. Let's do the OPW dance!

Haha, yay!

Out of interest: What would you (and others...?) have done there? And what era were those offers from?

I'd have gone at £19,999 or £10,000...

...and those were actually based on current offer benchmarks, but only from percentage-of-the-mean, meaning for that board they were actually just right! :D

I see... I suppose I just tend to think of the offers as stingy all the time but it's probably because the boards the players get never really warrant generous offers...
