Well, that was a lucky Banker escape.

To be honest, what scared me into dealing when I did was the possibility of the Banker not making any finincial offers for the rest of the game (as he is allowed to offer a SWAP when the button is used). It turns out the exact opposite would've occured.

Still, I definitely would've dealt one of the first two prove-out offers had I went on, so a £50,000+ box win was never on the cards.

Let's hope I can stumble into another way of winning big as I choose Option 1 for Box 23.

That "strategy" the banker used to scuttle the Box 23 upgrade seemed completely gamebreaking. Given in a normal game of that the player's offer button doesn't interrupt the upgrade, wouldn't it make more sense for it to just go 11-8, 8-5, and 5-2 like everyone would generally expect? That makes things a lot more fair in that regard and prevents the banker from making it entirely worthless like that.

I hate to stick up for The Banker, but Ben was incredibly unlucky to hit LOCK IN during an Archstered's DoND game. To avoid further upset and questions, I'll update the rules.

Remember, The Banker is a mean creature who wants to crush dreams and pay out as little winnings as possible and, sometimes, there will be controversial aspects to the way he operates. Give him a break though, he just paid out £94k

Suffice to say that Box 23 gave the Banker what he deserved!

I know I have my own series, but I truly think Archie's is the gold standard here, and a big reason why is how he pushes the boundaries of gameplay and reacts to the scenarios he produces. We saw the former in the game here, and the latter in the impending clarification
