The game which has divided opinions on this forum since 2014 has reached it's 200 game! For only the second time, I'll be playing with KP on hosting duties. It's over to David now, I'll see you on the other side!

Thank you very much!

I hope you're ready to play the game the way YOU want to play it... I'm sure the Banker will have some fun as he tries to minimise his payout in a game that can theoretically produce a million-pound win!

You know the rules, obviously; the randomiser has handed you the Paul Hardcastle box, Box 19, for this game. Will its contents be what you take to 23?

In this special episode, number 200, we are turning the 100s into 200s! That means the £100 box becomes £200, but far more importantly, £100,000 becomes an Aussie-style £200,000! The impact on stability if you keep that and the QM is very significant indeed...

Five to start as always. GAME ON!

Box 8... £250. That is the right colour to start, always.

Box 12... £5! First of the pocket change to go, great stuff.

Box 6... £35,000! First Power 5 to go, only the Banker can enjoy that, although at least it's the lowest!

Box 14... £75,000! Now we're in some trouble, but it's mitigated by that £100,000 double-up...

Box 3... £50,000! Oh my word...

I never imagined that the power of the £200,000 would be shown up this much... here's your 17-box board!

1p
10p
50p
£1
£10
£50
£200
£500
£750

£1,000
£3,000
£5,000
£10,000
£15,000
£20,000
£200,000
£250,000

That has drawn a predictably muted offer, as it's already a two-box game...

BANKER'S OFFER

£2,222 + 2 NIGHTS IN PARIS

BIG gap.

This is actually the third time I've played my own game.. game #17 and game #73. Both decent results ;)

Not to be sniffed at. The holiday would be an interesting thing to take to Box 23, but I'm not kidding anyone pretending to consider it.

NO DEAL!

If this round contains one of the top two, it's a one-box game with the regular 23. If it doesn't, the dream is still very much alive.

Box 22... £3,000. Right kind of red.

Box 13... 1p! The penny drops!

Box 18... £200,000! Oh my goodness, just when it looked like it was going to be so important, it's gone, and with it so too is the Hi-Lo sidegame for the augmented 23!

We've played 200 games of this, and the number of 14-box boards anywhere close to this level of volatility must be countable on one hand. Has there ever been a situation where the sole Power 5 at this point is the jackpot?

10p

£500
£750

£1,000
£5,000
£10,000

£250,000

As long as the £250,000 is in play, the offer has to go up.

Jeez... Massive gap. Perhaps there really has been a shift in luck since we've hit the 200's ;)

NO DEAL however..

15, 9 and 16 to take me to the third offer please!

If one of these boxes is the £250k, we may already be playing for the random box value or Jackpot options on 23. The former does include that £200,000, and the latter is currently standing at £40,000!

Let's keep the more obvious route to a big win going, though. If not from it being on the table, then perhaps from it staying too long to prevent a big offer even without big fallback.

Box 15... £15,000. Well, you clearly didn't think this board was dangerous enough.

Box 9... £50! The lesser-spotted blue!

Box 16... £10! Now we have a gap on that side too!

Fundamentally, though, a survival round...

OK enough offer, but with the Offer Button there I feel very comfortable going on, and even opening 3 boxes.

NO DEAL

10, 17 and 1!

Yes, we have the OFFER BUTTON LIVE!

It will remain so at the 8-box point, but will the game be live in terms of being a big-money one?

Box 10... 10p! Well, that helps.

Box 17... £200! That's four in a row, meaning it's now more reds than blues on the board from an unlikely 8-5 position earlier...

Box 1... £750! Talk about a momentum shifter!
